Mario Williams played running back in high school. He liked it.

Wait a minute. Why not use Mario in short yardage situations, kinda like an athletic Fridge kinda deal? He’s got experience at running back, he’s an athletic freak, and, oh, by the way, he’s better option than anything else we got going on.

Why not bring in Super Mario in goal line situations?

Would that tire him out too quickly? Dull his D-line play?

While I think it’s too risky (double the chance for injury, risk of fatigue, etc.) to be feasible, it would be wonderfully ironic for Mario to lead Reggie Bush in TDs.

Oh, Mario coming in for one play when we’re on the 1 yard line doesn’t seem like that would be that risky. Especially if use him as a decoy half the time.

Well, there’s also the thought that if we need our Defensive End to play FB from the one, our running game is in even worse shape than we thought. :)

I read somewhere on Chron.com today that we were actually averaging less rushing yards per game last year (60 something)at the same point in the season. So I guess it could be worse (not by much). Perhaps that’s why they don’t care to sign Wali Lundy, who was our Freakin’ Starter last year on opening day and who now can not get a job in the NFL. How sad….For Wali, not us.
