Yep, this was needed pretty quickly to help ease the pain of Sunday.

I’m hoping you’ve saved something for each of the next 5 days.

Well, Friday is currently penciled in as “Post about bowel movements.” Saturday just has “consider retiring” scribbled in crayon.

Hah. I didn’t really see anything wrong with that until I saw Echemandu’s stats. It’s not a bad day, considering he left early with an injury though.

Can we do a “Vince Young” moment of zen instead?

6/14, 42 yards. 11 rushing yards on 7 carries. Two sacks for 16 yards. One delay of game penalty for five yards. Three first-downs through the air.

    He just wins games.

Bush’s totals this week were fine enough, I guess. I mean, he did crack 100 total yards. Still, I imagine that the Saints were expecting a little more, especially in the TD department, when they drafted him.

I would do the Vince Young thing, but he has consistently beaten any team I’ve ever loved. So I can’t. (I will continue to laugh when people point out his numbers, though.)

Maybe. As a Brees owner though, I’d prefer it if Bush stayed out of the end zone. That pick might finally start paying dividends.

“Echemandu suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s game and is questionable for Week 9, reports the Houston Chronicle. After an MRI on Monday, doctors called the injury a “deep contusion.”

Please lord, take Petey instead. How many decent players are going to get injured before we start losing some dead weight too?

By the way, is anyone else ashamed of our entire offensive line for not responding to that cheap-shot by Cooper? Kalu certainly was. He mentioned after the game that he’s going to retaliate next time somebody fucks with his quarterback. We need to get Studdard out there — I hear he plays with a mean streak.

I don’t really care about penalties at that point. When somebody does that to your quarterback, every player on your offense should immediately start beating the shit out of whoever did it. QB protection goes beyond keeping the other team out of the pocket.
