Kickoff

Forward Thinking. Rosy Colvin likes his new team and likes the role of situational pass rusher. Says Colvin, “I would love to be going forward. A lot of the guys up there in New England used to say all the time when I’d drop back in coverage, ‘Keep that guy going forward.’”
Cinco. SOLIS has a great run-down of Day Five of Training Camp.
OHMYGOD, STOP THE PRESSES AND HOLD EVERYTHING!!!!! Vince Young was inconsistent in practice yesterday. This is a shocking and wholly unexpected development. In other news, the sky is blue, water is wet, and I am a jerk.
Programming Note. I am kind of busy for the rest of the day, so odds are good that I won’t post anything else before this evening at the earliest. As always, BFD is at the mercy of his job. And you thought doing gay fetish porn was easy.

Make sure you get the inmates to sign a waiver to their publicity rights first, Matt!

Damn, reading the comments in that Tennessee article, it looks like some of the Babyeating-Sisterfucking fans are getting a little restless with their prize QB while others are still comparing him to Tom Brady and Eli Manning.

Does this sound familiar to anyone else?
-
Year One: Expectations are low, but the team performs a bit better than expected.
Year Two: QB regresses a bit, but most agree that the team hasn’t provided him with the right weapons to make him successful.
Year Three: Still no progress. Many in the fan base are getting restless, but others still defend him. It must have been the offensive coordinator’s fault.

Year Seven: You can’t even play well on the third team of the defending Super Bowl champ.

I know it’s probably going to result in some bad karma….but I got enjoyment out of reading that BESF article. Vince being off target was expected, but Bironas is hurt too. He’s just a kicker, but after the 32 field goals he kicked against us I decided to hate him. It’s a good thing when one of your rivals is using a back up QB to kick field goals.
-
I also enjoyed the fact that Len-Whale White is in court.

@Matt:
Jesus, I just read the Carr link. He’s escaping the pocket a little early in PRACTICE. You know where they aren’t allowed to hit the QB….His head is seriously screwed now.

Rusty Carr has a Rough Ride..?
-
That headline made me smile and cringe at same time – which I guess for the NY Media is par for the course.
-
How bout “Carr Stalls Coming off the Line?” Or “NY Bought a Real Lemon” Or “Carr is Proving to be a Junked Out Piece of Shit” Or “NY needs to Trade in this Rolling Deathtrap before We All Die”…?

I gotta take my kid to the doctor.

Anyone else see the report yesterday afternoon that Manning had made it to the city where Colts TC is taking place, but his location would remain a secret. First thought that comes to mind is they don’t want any pictures of Kenny nursing the knee back to health pool-side.

(P.S. That bitch on the phone at Comcast talked me into getting every fucking channel that exists for only $15 more…..NFL Network is pretty decent, or at least was right up until Favre faxed in his request letter yesterday afternoon…..that fucking media whore. I am already predicting that he fakes his death next April, only to come back from the dead in August.)

@Shake: From what I hear, if he actually dies he should be able to rise back in about three days.
